JokkoHub Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how JokkoHub collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Platform. It is an operational draft prepared for review by Senegal Network Solutions (SNS); it is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by an attorney.

2. Information you provide

Profile information: your name, headline, photo, location, professional details, skills, interests, and links you add to your profile.

User-generated content: posts, comments, stories, Shorts, community contributions, and event content you create.

Support requests: the category, subject, description, optional page reference, and any screenshot you attach when contacting support.

3. Authentication information

You can sign in with email and password or through Google or Apple. We receive your email address, display name, and a provider account identifier. Your password is handled by the Platform's authentication system; JokkoHub does not store or see it.

4. How we use information

To provide your account, profile, feed, and networking features; to display content to the audiences you choose; to keep the Platform safe through reporting and moderation; to answer support requests; and to maintain and improve the Platform.

5. Public and member-visible information

Your profile is visible according to your visibility setting (everyone, members, connections, or only you). Public visibility means anyone, including non-members, can see your profile information. Posts and comments are visible to the audience selected for them.

6. Connections and social activity

Connections, follows, reactions, and endorsements are stored to operate these features. Other members can see the parts of this activity that the features naturally display (for example, who follows or endorses whom).

7. Messages

Direct messages are stored and delivered to their recipients. They are private between participants, but administrators may review a reported message as part of safety handling.

8. Mentorship information

Mentor and mentee profiles, mentorship requests, goals, sessions, and check-ins are stored to operate the mentorship program and are visible to the mentorship participants and platform administrators.

9. Learning activity

Course enrollments, lesson progress, quiz attempts, and certificates are stored to operate learning features and are visible to you, course instructors for their courses, and administrators.

10. Events

Event RSVPs (going/interested) are stored and shown to the event host and other members. Event content you create is displayed as published.

11. Organization information

Organization profiles (name, description, logo, links) are published on the Platform according to their visibility setting and may be visible to anyone.

12. Technical data

The Platform's hosting and authentication provider processes standard technical data (request logs, device and browser information) needed to run the service. JokkoHub does not use third-party advertising trackers.

13. Service providers

JokkoHub runs on a managed application platform that provides hosting, storage, and authentication. Google and Apple act as authentication providers when you use those sign-in options. Uploaded media and attachments are stored on the Platform's managed storage.

14. Retention and deletion

Your information is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings: your profile and personal data are removed, shared content you created is retained but anonymized, and the account is deactivated. Some records may be retained for safety, security, and audit purposes, in anonymized form where possible.

15. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access restrictions so that members only access data they are entitled to see. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

16. Your choices

You can adjust profile visibility, choose your interface language, edit or remove most profile information, and delete your account at any time. You can contact support for help exercising these choices.

17. Children

JokkoHub is not directed at minors. Accounts require an age of at least 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

18. International community

JokkoHub serves a global diaspora community. Your information may be processed by the Platform's providers in countries where they operate, including the United States, and is used in accordance with this policy.

19. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on the Platform, and the current version is always available at jokkohub.com/privacy.
