Small-Business Support Advisor (Diaspora & Senegal)

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Senegal)

About Us:
JokkoHub connects the Senegalese diaspora and home-based professionals with opportunities to grow, collaborate and mentor. We are expanding our services to support small and micro-businesses across Senegal and in diaspora networks.

Role Overview:
We’re seeking a Small-Business Support Advisor who will work closely with our network of entrepreneurs, particularly those from the Senegalese community, to provide mentorship, business development advice, and connect them with resources and platforms. Your role will help shape the future of our small-business ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual consultations and workshops for small-business owners (in Senegal and abroad) on topics such as business planning, marketing, digital presence, fundraising, export/diaspora links.
• Develop and maintain a resource library (templates, guides, case studies) designed for Senegalese-run small businesses.
• Liaise with diaspora professionals who can act as mentors, facilitators, or advisors; build partner networks (local incubators, NGOs, funding bodies).
• Track outcomes of support activities (businesses served, growth metrics, success stories) to feed into our platform’s impact-reporting.
  Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven experience (3+ years) in small-business advisory, entrepreneurship development, consulting or relevant field.
• Experience working with African markets (ideally West Africa/Senegal) or diaspora business ecosystems.
• Strong virtual facilitation and workshop-running skills.
• Fluent in French; English is a plus; basic Wolof is an advantage.
• Empathetic communicator with a passion for mentoring, community uplift and business growth.
